Guard Guru Job Listings work on a pre-purchase “Token” system. This allows for bulk single purchase pricing on Tokens to be used immediately or at a later date. Additionally, the higher tiered Company membership programs have a lower price per “Token”. Job Tokens are spent when a Job Listing is submit for consideration. Job Listings can be copied or set for auto-renewal, both of which will attempt to spend a Job Token from the corresponding hiring company account. Job Tokens can be tracked & traced on the Token Ledger when logged in to a Company Account.


What You’ll Need to Get Started

  • Signed Up to Guard Guru Security Company Account.

Login to Guard Guru

  1. Visit Guard Guru Shop to get started.
  2. Find the “Job Listing Single” or “Job Listing Bulk” Products to Choose From.
  3. Select from the available quantities of tokens & click the button labeled “Add to Cart”.
  4. A Notification at the Top of the Page says Tokens have been Added to the Cart, Complete with a Button to View the Cart.
  5. A link to the Shopping Cart Page can be Found on any Page Under the “Shop” Link in the Secondary Menu.
  6. From the Shopping Cart Page you can Verify that All Products & Pricing are to your liking.
  7. When Ready, Click the “Proceed to Checkout” Button to Complete Payment & Add Directory Tokens to the Account.
  8. The Checkout Page allows for Billing & Payment Information to be Entered Securely for Checkout.
  9. Complete the Billing & Payment Form & Submit to Complete the Membership Upgrade Process.
  10. The Company Account Will Receive A Receipt via Email & Ability to Add the New Quantity of Jobs.

Login to Guard Guru

  1. Visit Guard Guru Shop to get started.
  2. Find the “Add Location” Product. There are no bulk options for Directory Tokens.
  3. Set the count of quantities of tokens & click the button labeled “Add to Cart”.
  4. A Notification at the Top of the Page says Tokens have been Added to the Cart, Complete with a Button to View the Cart.
  5. A link to the Shopping Cart Page can be Found on any Page Under the “Shop” Link in the Secondary Menu.
  6. From the Shopping Cart Page you can Verify that All Products & Pricing are to your liking.

Easily Cancel A Guard Guru Membership!

Guard Guru Memberships are a subscription product that can be cancelled at any time. Any remaining time when cancelled will remain on the account until the now cancelled renewal date. Subscriptions can be renewed or purchased again at any time.


What You’ll Need to Get Started

  • Logged In to Guard Guru Company Account that is at least Silver tier Membership.
  • At Least one Directory Listing for the Company you wish to add Service Areas to.

Cancel Guard Guru Membership

  1. Login to a Guard Guru to Guard Guru Company Account that is at least Silver tier Membership.
  2. After login, if not already there, navigate to the Guard Guru Account Page, a link for which can always be found in the Secondary Menu.
  3. Find & click the button the button labeled “Subscriptions” to view all Subscriptions, including Location Token purchases.
  4. Subscriptions are ordered by newest to oldest & include information like current status & recurring price.
  5. Find the Membership Subscription you are seeking to Cancel & click the corresponding button labeled “View”.
  6. Confirm the information in the Membership Subscription & find the large button labeled “Cancel”.
  7. An alert will pop up to confirm your decision to cancel the subscription. Click “Ok” to confirm cancellation.
  8. You should see an alert letting you know the subscription has been successfully cancelled.
  9. Any remaining time on the Subscription will allow continued access until that date.
  10. Additional Memberships can be purchased as an upgrade or reactivation of this Membership Subscription.

Manage Guard Guru Job Applications

  1. Login to a Guard Guru Security Company or Company Manager Account.
  2. Navigate to the My Jobs page, a link for which can always be found under “Security Jobs” in the Primary Navigation.
  3. Find the dropdown menu labeled “Hiring Company”. Scroll, search or otherwise find the hiring company for the job applications you wish to manage.
  4. Here you will find all jobs for this particular Hiring Company. Search, scroll or otherwise navigate to the job you are trying to manage.
  5. Click the button labeled “ View Applications” to view the job listing applications for this particular job.
  6. Search, scroll or otherwise navigate to the Job Application you are trying to manage & click “View Application”.

  6. The last section includes the option to use the Guard Guru on site application or link to an offsite application.
  7. Lastly, there is a paragraph entry for listing comma separated emails to be notified of listing & application changes.
  8. Confirm the Job Listing information & Click the Button “Save Job”. The Job Listing is now saved as a draft, ready to be submit for approval.
  9. Guard Guru Verified Companies will have their Job Listings immediately approved for publishing.
  10. Unverified Companies will receive notification of their approval status as soon as a decision is available.

  1. Login to a Guard Guru Security Company or Company Account.
  2. At least one existing Company in the Guard Guru Company Directory Listing to edit.
  3. Go to the My Companies page.
  4. Search for or otherwise locate the correct Directory Listing you wish to edit.
  5. Inside the preview of the Directory Listing, click the button labeled “ Edit”.
  6. This page contains a form similar to the one for Adding a Company Directory Listing.
  7. Edit the Company Logo, Name, Description, Location & Contact Information as needed.
  8. On the last page you will find a confirmation of information entered.
  9. If the information is correct, click the button labeled “Save Company”.
  10. Company information will have been updated & reflected by the confirmation page.

  1. Login to a Guard Guru Security Company or Security Tangent Account.
  2. From the Primary Menu Under “Directory” Find the “Add Company” Link.
  3. Add Company Logo : Max 1MB. Recommend 600 x 600px. PNG, JPG or JPEG Format.
  4. Company Name : Enter Company’s Legal Name as You Wish Displayed on Guard Guru.
  5. Company License : Enter Company License Number as Required by Law (PPO, INC.)
  6. Company Country : Choose From United States or Canada for Company Country.
  7. Location Type : Choose from Primary or Branch Location. Branch Locations Require a Primary Location to reference.
  8. Company Address : Enter Your Company’s Physical Location. This Address Will be Used for Google Verification.
  9. Company Type : Select Your Company’s Type for the Directory Category Listing.
  10. Security Services : Security Companies will find Security Services Available.
  11. Company Description : Enter A Short Description About the Company. Recommend at least 300 Words.
  12. Company Website : Enter the company’s main site URL, or page address for this location for Guard Guru users.
  13. Company Phone Number : Enter the Company’s Phone Number for Potential Customers & Guard Guru users.
  14. Company Email : Not Displayed Openly to Guard Guru users. For use by Automated Guard Guru functions.
  15. Company Social Media : Links to Company Social Media, Facebook, LinkedIn, Yelp, etc.
  16. On the Last Page, Confirm Company Information for Submission or Click “Previous” to Edit the Information.
  17. Click “Save Company” to Save the Company as a Draft in the Guard Guru Directory Listing.
  18. Upon Successful Entry, You will be redirected to a Page Verifying Directory Listing Entry.
  19. From here you can Google Verify the location, apply for Guard Guru verification or Preview the Listing.
  20. Navigate to the Company Preview page & verify all company information is correct.
  21. All Company Publishing Forms Can Be Found at the Bottom of the Company Listing.
