Quickly & Easily Add Service Areas!

Service Areas in the Guard Guru directory are a way to maximize your potential on Guard Guru. Service Areas allow for you to appear in company search results not just for where your company is located, but the areas your company services. This handy guide will show you step by step how to add over 29,000 neighborhoods to your company Service Areas.

What You’ll Need to Get Started

  • Logged In to Guard Guru Company or Company Manager Account.
  • At Least one Directory Listing for the Company you wish to add Service Areas to.

Add Service Areas

  1. Visit My Companies to get started.
  2. Search or otherwise locate the Directory Listing you wish to edit.
  3. Locate & Click the button labeled “ Areas”.
  4. If this location already has any Service Areas, they will be here, sorted by State/Province.
  5. If already listed, you can Edit the Service Area for the corresponding State/Province.
  6. Otherwise, click the button labeled “ Add Service Areas”
  7. Select the Service State/Province you wish to Add Service Areas to.
  8. Select whether to “Serve Entire State” or “Serve Specific Areas” & click the button labeled “Next”.
  9. If adding the selected state in it’s entirety, just confirm the prompt to add the entire state to Service Areas.
  10. If adding specific Service Areas, select a specific city & click the button labeled “Next”.
  11. Confirm the correct starting Service Area & click the button labeled “Select Service Cities”.
  12. A starter list of surrounding Service Areas will be auto-selected. Add or Remove Service Areas to the list as needed.
  13. When the list of Service Areas is Complete, click the button labeled “Save Service Areas”.

What You’ll Need to Get Started

  • Sign Up for any Guard Guru Account.

  1. Login to a Guard Guru Account.
  2. Navigate to the Directory Search Page. The link can be found in the Primary Menu of every page under Directory.
  3. There you will find a search form with parameters, including Company Location & Company Type.
  4. Enter the desired search parameters into their respective inputs & click “Search Jobs” to find jobs that match your parameters.
  5. When logged in, links to your last five most recent Job Searches will appear in the sidebar under “Recent Searches”.

This is a guide to Google Verify Company in Guard Guru Directory using Google Business data. Google Verify will make your Company Directory listing more relevant in search results & show more information in your listing.

What You’ll Need to Get Started

  • Logged In to Guard Guru Company or Company Manager Account.
  • At Least one Directory Listing for the Company you wish to Google Verify with an existing Google Business.

Google Verify Company

  1. Visit My Companies to get started.
  2. Search or otherwise locate the Directory Listing you wish to Google Verify.
  3. Locate & Click the button labeled “ Verify”.
  4. You’ll be taken to a page that has attempted to load Google Locations based upon the current Company address in Guard Guru.
  5. If the form says “No Results Found” you may want to verify your Company information with your current Google Business information.
  6. If the Google Location is listed, please select it in the form. Locate & click the button labeled “Save Verification”.
  7. If successful, your Company listing has been updated with Google Verified information & prioritized in search results.

Edit Company to Guard Guru Directory!

This is a guide to Edit Company information in the Guard Guru Company Directory.

What You’ll Need to Get Started

  • Signed Up for Guard Guru Security Company or Company Account.
  • A Guard Guru Directory Token. One free with Company Sign Up, or Purchased from the Guard Guru Shop.
  • Company Information like Name, Logo, License #, Address, Phone Number, Service Area & Services Provided.
  • At least one existing Company in the Guard Guru Company Directory to edit.

Adding Company to Guard Guru Directory

  1. Login to a Guard Guru Security Company or Company Account.
  2. At least one existing Company in the Guard Guru Company Directory Listing to edit.
  3. Go to the My Companies page.
  4. Search for or otherwise locate the correct Directory Listing you wish to edit.
  5. Inside the preview of the Directory Listing, click the button labeled “ Edit”.
  6. This page contains a form similar to the one for Adding a Company Directory Listing.
  7. Edit the Company Logo, Name, Description, Location & Contact Information as needed.
  8. On the last page you will find a confirmation of information entered.
  9. If the information is correct, click the button labeled “Save Company”.
  10. Company information will have been updated & reflected by the confirmation page.

Add Company to Guard Guru Directory!

This is a guide to Add Company information in the Guard Guru Company Directory. This will require a Location Token, which is available free at sign to Guard Guru Company Accounts.

What You’ll Need to Get Started

  • Signed Up for Guard Guru Security Company or Security Tangent Account.
  • A Guard Guru Directory Token. One free with Company Sign Up, or Purchased from the Guard Guru Shop.
  • Company Information like Name, Logo, License #, Address, Phone Number, Service Area & Services Provided.

Adding Company to Guard Guru Directory

  1. Login to a Guard Guru Security Company or Security Tangent Account.
  2. From the Primary Menu Under “Directory” Find the “Add Company” Link.
  3. Add Company Logo : Max 1MB. Recommend 600 x 600px. PNG, JPG or JPEG Format.
  4. Company Name : Enter Company’s Legal Name as You Wish Displayed on Guard Guru.
  5. Company License : Enter Company License Number as Required by Law (PPO, INC.)
  6. Company Country : Choose From United States or Canada for Company Country.
  7. Location Type : Choose from Primary or Branch Location. Branch Locations Require a Primary Location to reference.
  8. Company Address : Enter Your Company’s Physical Location. This Address Will be Used for Google Verification.
  9. Company Type : Select Your Company’s Type for the Directory Category Listing.
  10. Security Services : Security Companies will find Security Services Available.
  11. Company Description : Enter A Short Description About the Company. Recommend at least 300 Words.
  12. Company Website : Enter the company’s main site URL, or page address for this location for Guard Guru users.
  13. Company Phone Number : Enter the Company’s Phone Number for Potential Customers & Guard Guru users.
  14. Company Email : Not Displayed Openly to Guard Guru users. For use by Automated Guard Guru functions.
  15. Company Social Media : Links to Company Social Media, Facebook, LinkedIn, Yelp, etc.
  16. On the Last Page, Confirm Company Information for Submission or Click “Previous” to Edit the Information.
  17. Click “Save Company” to Save the Company as a Draft in the Guard Guru Directory Listing.
  18. Upon Successful Entry, You will be redirected to a Page Verifying Directory Listing Entry.
  19. From here you can Google Verify the location, apply for Guard Guru verification or Preview the Listing.
  20. Navigate to the Company Preview page & verify all company information is correct.
  21. All Company Publishing Forms Can Be Found at the Bottom of the Company Listing.
  22. If the Company Listing information & verification status are to your liking, submit the Company for Guard Guru Approval.
  23. Company Listings will be automatically published in the Guard Guru Company Directory upon Guard Guru Approval.
  24. All Relevant Notes, Forms & Private Information can always be found at the bottom of the Company Listing.
